DIMO Sponsors Army Southern Warriors at Army Commander’s league T20 cricket tournament 2021

DIMO Sponsors Army Southern Warriors captained by own tribe member Dinesh Chandimal at the Army Commander’s league T20 cricket tournament for the second consecutive year.

The press conference to announce the Army Commander’s league T20 cricket tournament 2021 was held recently at SLAF Officer’s Mess Colombo. Representing DIMO, Mr. Yohan Thilakaratne participated at the event. The Tournament will commence on 31st July and continue till 7th August 2021 at the Army Cricket Grounds (Ordnance) Dombagoda, a ground with international standards, under strict Covid- 19 health guidelines. All the matches are live telecasted through Event TV, Batsman.com and Live streamed by Army Facebook page and SLC Scorer.com.

Other three teams; Army Northern Warriors, Army Eastern Warriors and Army Western Warriors taking part at the tournament will be captained by Sekkuge Prasanna, Asela Gunaratne and Thisara Perera respectively.

The main objective of this tournament is to select the talented and potential players of the Sri Lankan Army team in order to prepare them for forthcoming tournaments and for them to gain the necessary exposure.
