Recruitment to the Post of Assistant Warden (Segment 2 of Non-Technical Management Assistant)
Applications are invited from eligible Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Assistant Warden (Segment 2 of Non-Technical Management Assistant) in Ratnapura Shelter functioning under the purview of the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs and Development of Dry Zones.
Nature of Post :- The post is permanent and pensionable.
Duties :- Under the supervision of the Head-Warden, the Assistant Warden should maintain good management system in the Shelter, maintain confidentiality, provide facilities to victims, maintain documents and cleanliness of the Shelter, make arrangements for preparing meals, maintain hygienic condition of the place for the interest of victims. Educational and Vocational Qualifications required :-Educational Qualifications :- Every applicant must furnish proof that she (a) has passed the G. C. E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in six (06) subjects with credit passes for Mathematics, Sinhala / Tamil / English and two more subjects at one sitting;
And
(b) has passed at least one (01) subject at the G. C. E. (Advanced Level) Examination (except common general test) Vocational Qualifications :- Every applicant should (a) have held the post of warden of a recognized social services institute at least for a period not less than one year (b) furnish certificates or letters (issued by a state institute or an institute recognized by the government) as proof that she possesses practical training,not less than three months,in the welfare of children and the youth
Age Limit :- Not less than 18 years and not more than 30 years
Method of Recruitment :- On the results of the written examination to be held under the following subjects, applicants who score highest marks will be recruited.
1. Aptitude test 2. Language proficiency
Salary Scale :- According to the Public Administration Circular No: 3/2016, the salary scale attached to the post is as follows :-Rs. 27,140 - 10x300 - 11x350 - 10x495 - 10x660 - 45,540/- (Provisions specified in the Public Administration Circular No: 3/2016 are applicable for the payment of salary for the period from 01.01.2016 to 01.01.2020) Applicants who have completed above qualifications should send in a self-made Curriculum Vitae containing educational and vocational qualifications to the following address by registered post to reach me before 25.01.2019. The words "Recruitment to the post of Assistant Warden" should be indicated on the top left corner of the envelope in which the application is contained.
Applicants who have completed required qualifications will receive Admission Cards by registered post to sit for the written examination which is to be held within 04 -06 weeks from the closing date.
