Malinga Fined 20 Per Cent Match Fee for Slow Over-rate Against New Zealand.
Sri Lanka have been fined for slow over-rate in their 45-run defeat to New Zealand in the first One-Day International at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on Thursday (January 3).
Sri Lankan skipper Lasith Malinga has been fined 20 per cent of his match fee, while his players have received 10 per cent fines.
"If Sri Lanka commit another minor over-rate breach in an ODI within 12 months of this offence with Malinga as captain, it will be deemed a second offence by Malinga and he will face a suspension,"
