Vacancies for Technicians, Telecom Assistants-Transport (Driver), Customer Care Assistants and Customer Care Officers at Sri Lanka Telecom

Sri Lanka Telecom is looking for high caliber, result-oriented individuals who will contribute towards strengthening the SLT team, leading it to new heights.

Technicians

• Skilled competency certificate-NAITA in the field of Telecommunication or equivalent (equal to NVQ level 4)
  and
• Should have passed G.C.E (O/L)
  and
• Should have ability to drive all motor vehicles and possess a valid driving license (clear photocopy of both sides should be attached)
  and
• Minimum seven years continuous working experience in the field of telecommunication in a recognized organization.
• Should have a good character.

• Terms
• Upper age limit is 35 years.
• Selection will be made through practical test and interviews.
• Monthly Salary & other allowances (LKR): 17,500.00 consolidated salary and 17,000.00 fixed allowances.

Telecom Assistants-Transport (Driver)

• Should have sat to GCE (O/L) or equivalent.
  and
• Should possess valid driving license to drive all vehicles including heavy vehicles (clear photocopy of both sides should be attached)
  and
• Should be at least height of 5 feet 2 inches tall.
  and
• Certification from registered medical practitioner on acceptable eye sight for driving.
  and
• Should possess basic knowledge on motor mechanism and sound knowledge of highway code
  and
• Minimum five years driving experience as an accident free driver.
  and
• Minimum seven years continuous working experience as a Telecom Assistant-Transport (Driver) in a recognized telecommunication organization.
• Should have a good character.

• Terms
• Age limit: should not be less than 25 years and not more than 40 years.
• Selection will be made through practical test and interviews.
• Monthly Salary & other allowances (LKR): 17,500.00 consolidated salary and 17,000.00 fixed allowances.

Customer Care Assistants

• Should have passed 8th Standard
  and
• Minimum seven years continuous working experience as Customer Care Assistant (peon) in a recognized telecommunication organization.
• Should have a good character.

• Terms
• Upper age limit is 30 years.
• Selection will be made through practical test and interviews.
• Monthly Salary & other allowances (LKR): 16,600.00 consolidated salary and 17,000.00 fixed allowances.

Customer Care Officers

• Six subjects in G.C.E. (O/L) or equivalent in one sitting with four (04) credit passes including Arithmetic/Mathematics and Sinhala or Tamil Language/Literature and English Language/Literature.
  and
• Three Passes in GCE (A/L) or equivalent in one sitting
  and
• Successful completion of an IT course with at least one year duration at a recognized institution with thorough knowledge of MS Office.
  and
• Minimum seven years working experience as Customer Care Officer in a recognized telecommunication organization.
• Should have a good character

• Terms
• Upper age limit is 30 years.
• Selection will be made through written tests, computer practical test (on MS office) and interviews.
• Monthly Salary & other allowances (LKR): 22,000.00 consolidated salary and 17,000.00 fixed allowances

• Appointments will be on permanent basis subject to one-year probation period.

• Effective date for the age calculation and service experience is 31st December 2016.
