Note:-
In addition to the salary, academic allowance, other allowances as approved by the
University Grants Commission and equalization allowance on appointment under the Medical / Dental category in keeping with the salary of the Medical Officers attached to the Ministry of Health will also be paid.
Appointees with MBBS will be granted a retention allowance of Rs. 50,000 for Lecturer (Probationary), Rs. 80,000 for Senior Lecturer (or lecturer with MD after foreign training) and Rs. 100,000 for Professor. (This allowance will be paid only for a period of one year and it may be extended further)
FACULTY OF APPLIED SCIENCES
Department of Biological Sciences
• Senior Lecturer Grade I/II in Health Promotion
Qualifications:
The candidates who apply for the Senior Lecturer in Health Promotion should possess a Degree in Science/Medical Science and Postgraduate qualifications related to public health. Preference will be given to candidates who are competent in the area of health promotion and toxicology.
FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE
Department of Plant Sciences
• Post of Professor, Senior Lecturer, Gr. I/II, Lecturer, Lecturer (Probationary) in Plant Pathology
Subject area/s:
Plant Pathology, Disease Management of Cultivated Crops, Nematology, Integrated Pest Management, Insect-Plant Pathogen Interactions, Pesticide Management.
Qualifications:
Basic degree should be B.Sc Special Degree in Agriculture. Preference will be given to those candidates who possess postgraduate qualifications in Plant Pathology/Plant Protection.
Department of Animal & Food Sciences
• Post of Senior Lecturer, Gr. I/II, Lecturer, Lecturer (Probationary) in Animal Science
Qualifications:
• The candidates who apply for the above posts should possess B.Sc Special Degree in Agriculture/Agriculture Technology and Management/Animal Science with a class.
• Postgraduate qualifications related to Animal Science will be an added advantage.
• Preference will be given to candidates those who are specialized in Animal Science and competent in the areas of Meat, Fish and Egg Technology, Animal By-Product Technology, Dairy Technology, Micro-Livestock Production and Farm Animal Production and Management.

Benefits
Appointees will become contributors to the Universities Provident Fund and the Universities Pension Scheme. They will also be entitled to Employees Trust Fund.
The holder of the Post of Professor/Senior Lecturer will be eligible for sabbatical leave for one year with pay or two years no-pay on completion of 07 years of service. Those proceeding abroad on sabbatical leave will be eligible to receive passage for himself / herself and his / her spouse.
