The S-Class represents the best in world of comfort and luxury. The new S-Class comes with a newly designed interior, using the most exclusive Nappa leather. The seats have ENERGISING massage function with hot stone massage function. The rear seats could be equipped with a business console which has tables, telephone and WIFI hotspot facility.
The new S-Class comes with Burmester® High-End 3D Surround-Sound System with 24 speakers, bringing out an output of over 1500W. Developed exclusively for the Mercedes-Benz Burmester®, it provides the best sound available for any automobiles at the moment. A 250 GB hard disk is installed with COMAND Online function for data storing and downloading. The ambient lighting is available with 7 different coulours and the AIR-BALANCE package provides 5 different scents to suit your mood.
Innovative features such as MAGIC BODY CONTROL with ROAD SURFACE SCAN enables the car to read bumps on the road ahead by its self (using a stereo camera) and adjust the suspension system to suit the road. Advance safety features such as DISTRONIC PLUS with Steering Assist, BAS PLUS with Junction Assist and Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC had made the new S-Class convenient to drive and safe to all passengers and road users. Another innovative feature in the new S-Class is it has moved away from conventional light bulbs to LED’s; the entire car is equipped with over 500 LED bulbs.
The New S-Class will be available as S400 HYBRID, a 3.5 L V6 petrol engine with an output of 306 BHP. In addition to the petrol engine, an electric motor is installed which is compact, lightweight and which is driven by a high-capacity lithium ion battery. How the hybrid system works is, that if the vehicle brakes, the electric motor becomes an alternator and produces electricity for the lithium ion battery. If the vehicle stops, at traffic lights for instance, the ECO start-stop function turns the combustion engine off and the car works on the battery power.
The new S-Class is available to order with delivery starting from April 2014.
