Zoological Gardens
Applications are hereby invited from External Candidates
with undermentioned
qualifications for the posts of Assistant Curator of the Department of National
Zoological Gardens.
Educational Qualifications
1. Should have passed General
Certificate of Education (Ordinary
Level) Examination in six subjects in one and same sitting with Sinhala/Tamil
Language, Arithmetic / Mathematics and Credit
Pass for Science / Agriculture (six subjects with three credit passes)
2. Passed
in 02 (two) subjects in the Bio Science Stream at General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination
will be considered as an added qualification.
3. Candidates
who are having experience in Animal Husbandry and
experience in observation of wild animals / species (fauna) and study of
their natural behavior and existence / habitats and keeping records, will be
preferred.
Age :- Should be not less than 18 years and
not more than 40 years of age. This upper
age limit will not be applicable to the departmental employees.

Scale :- (MN - 01-2006 A) 13120 - 145x10 -170x11 - 240x10 -320x10 -

Conditions of Employment :- This post is
pensionable and payable of contributions to Widows /Widowers and Orphans Pension Fund.
Conditions of Service ;- Sub sections from
12:05 upto 12:15(12:14) of Chapter II of the Establishments Code are relevant.
Mode of Recruitment :-
Upon a written examination and a professional / vocational / trade test, as per the
Public Administration Circular No. 15190.
